Judge of the Constitutional Court Viktor Horodovenko took part
in a round table organised by the Council of Europe
On March 1, 2021, a round table on the presentation of the new Council of Europe Project “Support for judicial institutions and processes to strengthen access to justice in Ukraine” took place online. During the event, the representatives of judicial, legislative and executive authority, the representatives of non-governmental organisations had an opportunity to make aware of the main guidelines of the Project and future events that will contribute to the achievement of the planned objectives.
The round table was attended by Lilit Daneghian-Bossler, Head of the Justice Sector Reform Unit of the Justice and Legal Cooperation Department of the Council of Europe, Valentyna Danishevska, President of the Supreme Court, Oleksii Malovatskyi, Deputy Chairman of the High Council of Justice, and Olena Lytvynenko, Deputy Head of the Council of Europe Office. Judge Viktor Horodovenko represented the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in this event.
It should be noted that the main goal of the Project is provide support to the Ukrainian judiciary in reforming legislation and improving judicial practice, as well as in ensuring effective access to justice in accordance with the standards and recommendations of the Council of Europe. The project implementation period is 2021-2022.
